How would you describe your life today?
My life today is a lot of traveling, meeting new people, and having weird unstructured working hours. I travel to amazing places all over the world, which I get very inspired by. My previous travels have been to French Polynesia, LA, Burning Man festival, New York, and now I am on my way to Copenhagen for two days before heading to London. My life is a balance between being super organized and full of time management, mixed with new options for jobs around the world and this “I do not know where I am next week or tomorrow” mentality. Life is quite stressful when I dig into the details of what I do, and how much I manage to do in short time frames, but I love it! I have created this life for myself, and I work hard to make things happen.
What do you love the most about your life?
The fact that I get to travel so much and meet amazing people on my journey is enriching and something that I am very grateful for.
How, when and why did you decide to start your online platform? I started my blog, Thisway in January 2014, after working for a fashion magazine in Denmark. After some years of considering to start my own blog, I decided to take action. Today my blog is purely passion and my inspirational digital universe. I want this space to be motivating while inspiring people to travel. I also created it to be a place for fashion as well as healthy lifestyle inspiration.
Can you tell us a little bit about the journey you have had, and what the rest of this year might look like?
So far, I have had a long unpredictable journey. I have been amazed by the cool brands who approach me and want to do cool collaborations, as well as the brands that have been positive and responsive to my proposals. I have learned not to make any long term fixed projects or plans, because I never know what to expect. I have found a balance between business and personal life, which I believe is very essential so you do not loose yourself and your identity. In the future I will be traveling a lot and I will give all my energy to modeling and blogging. I have not fully been able to do so the past five years, due to my university. Finally, it is now my time to shine even more, and give all the energy and passion that I have! 🌟
You are a role model to a lot of girls. Is empowerment of women an important cause to you?
If I am a role model to other girls, I wish to encourage them to set goals in life, work hard to get there, and believe in themselves. There is no point of relying on other people to believe in you if you do not even believe in yourself. You get stronger when you create your on path in life (This Way) and solve the challenges you meet. I wish to encourage, motivate and inspire girls to create their own life. Hard work, education and a positive mind; these are the main ingredients to reach this goal!
How would you describe your relationship with money?
I love to work and make my own money. Since I was 13 years old, I started to make my own money. I find great pleasure in making my own money and spend them afterwards. There is something so pleasant and satisfying about buying something expensive with your own well earned money!
Do you save or invest money today?
I do not invest in anything at the moment, but this something I hope to do over the next few years! I have been a student for a long time, and worked as well as interned at different companies while studying. Hence, I haven't had the right financial resources available to save up money yet.
I do however regard these years as an investment! I invest my money in traveling, living abroad and enjoying life. When I get older I will think about saving up, but at the moment I am still investing in life experience.
How could Spiff improve your life?
Spiff could help me start a small saving account !
What’s your dream purchase?
I would buy a house on a tropical island where I could surf, do yoga, and disconnect.🙏🏽
If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
Terror – I think the world have become a dangerous terror zone all over. We are never safe and I think this is really frightening.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Business wise: I see myself with my own creative company, that I am currently working on. I still want to blog and make even cooler collaborations than anyone ever before me!
Family wise: I see myself living happily in a big city, London or New York, with my husband and children. We have our house in a tropical place where my family and I go to every month to enjoy more time together.
